When Jason Miller first started his organic skincare venture in 2012, few could have predicted the seven failed attempts that would follow. The former marketing executive burned through his life savings, maxed out eleven credit cards, and even temporarily lost his apartment during what he now calls his “spiritual bootcamp” phase.
What kept him going was an ancient practice he discovered during his third bankruptcy – chakra balancing. “I hit rock bottom when my warehouse inventory got destroyed in a flood,” recalls the now 42-year-old CEO. “That’s when my yoga instructor introduced me to energy alignment through seven-chakra meditation and gemstone bracelets.”
Miller began wearing a custom-made bracelet with lapis lazuli (for throat chakra communication) and citrine (for solar plexus confidence) during investor pitches. Within months, his revitalized energy started attracting synchronicities – a chance meeting with a cosmetic chemist at a coffee shop led to his breakthrough algae-based formula.
“The turnaround wasn’t magical thinking,” emphasizes Miller, whose company now generates $8M annually. “It was about the discipline of daily root chakra grounding meditation before work, paired with practical business adjustments. The crystals simply helped maintain my vibrational frequency during tough negotiations.”
His office now features a “recharge corner” with amethyst geodes and chakra-tuning bowls where employees take mindfulness breaks. “Modern entrepreneurship needs both spreadsheets and spirituality,” says Miller while adjusting his signature tiger’s eye bracelet. “When your energy flows, opportunities flow to you.”
